Thank you for using DouyuHelper (the "Extension"). This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles your information. By using the Extension, you agree to the practices described here.

Data Collection & Handling

Information Stored Locally

• Settings: Your six feature switches are stored in chrome.storage.sync so they can follow your Chrome profile.
• Session Statistics: Counts of blocked network requests are kept in chrome.storage.session and are cleared when the browser session ends. Counts of hidden page elements and handled ad videos are computed on demand when the popup is open and are not stored.
• No Content Collection: The Extension does not read, store, or transmit page content, chat messages, account details, or viewing history.

Information We Do NOT Collect

The Extension does not collect, track, or sell your browsing history, personal identity, IP address, account credentials, chat messages, or usage analytics. It has no backend infrastructure, no analytics code, and makes no network requests of its own.

Network Activity

The Extension uses Chrome's declarative network rules to block advertising, tracking, and activity resources requested by Douyu pages. Blocking happens inside your browser; request contents are never read, stored, or sent anywhere. The Extension itself does not contact any server.

Chrome Web Store Privacy Disclosure

The developer declares that DouyuHelper:

• Does not collect or use your personal data outside of its core functionality.
• Does not sell your data to third parties under any circumstances.
• Does not use or transfer your data for purposes unrelated to the item's core functionality.
• Does not use or transfer your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Permissions Justification

• declarativeNetRequest — Required to block advertising, tracking, and activity requests before they are sent.
• declarativeNetRequestFeedback — Required to read which rules matched so the popup can show session statistics. No request contents are accessed.
• storage — Required to save your settings in Chrome Sync and keep session statistics in session storage.
• alarms — Required to refresh session statistics periodically while the browser is running.
• Host Permissions (*.douyu.com, *.douyucdn.cn) — Required to apply page cleanup and playback protection on Douyu pages. The Extension does not access any other website.

Data Retention & Deletion

Settings remain in chrome.storage.sync until you change them, clear the Extension's data, or remove the Extension. Session statistics are discarded when the browser session ends. The Extension does not retain any data on a server.

Children's Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
